Keynote Speakers

Professor Jill Manthorpe is Director of the Social Care Workforce Research Unit, King’s College London. Her areas of interest are social work education and inter-professional training. She has carried out major studies and has published books and journal articles in these fields. Her current research includes user involvement in professional research, advocacy for people with learning disabilities, protection for vulnerable adults and strategies for minority populations of older people. She is Chair of the Editorial Board of Ageing and Society and a former Co-editor of Practice. Her keynote address will be in relation to ageing and mental capacity.
