‘Changing Health: Acting and Reacting, Challenges for Social Work Theory and Practice’

This theme has been chosen to encompass new and ongoing challenges for practitioners, researchers and educators of social work on an international basis. These challenges include the changing demography, innovations in health care knowledge and practice, the focus on maintaining good health as well as curative interventions.
The theme also reflects the active role that social work is playing in pushing the boundaries of knowledge and skills in health care and practice.
